Pastor Bob Turk
Coming from Anna UMC, Bob was appointed to FUMC Boyd in September 2006. His entry into the ministry in 2000 marked the beginning of his third career. A retired Air Force Command Pilot and Contracting Officer, followed by an eleven-year stint in Defense contracting with Texas Instruments, he completed Perkins Seminary in 2000.

One of Bob’s military assignments was as a United Nations Truce Supervision Officer, stationed in Damascus, Syria; headquarters were in Jerusalem. This assignment and years of working in churches as a layperson led Bob to hear God’s call into the ministry.

He and Pat have been married for over 40 years. They have two sons. Steve and his wife Heather live in nearby Roanoke, with grandson Logan and new granddaughter Morgan. Rob lives in Austin, with grandson Max.
