Boyd Methodist Women - BMW Boyd Methodist Women activities include a book club that meet's the second Thursday evening of the month and a quilt group that meets the first and fourth Tuesday night of the month. You need not have read the book of the month, and our quilt group includes many beginners. Several of our ladies visit shut-ins on a regular basis. We have special retreats, mission projects, and social events periodically during the year. The Upper Room Devotional ministry is one of our on-going ministries. Devotionals are available to anyone in the narthex of the church. These are also taken to shut-ins and recipients of the Meals on Wheels program.
In addition, we have a "Friends in the Spirit" group that meets monthly. This group looks for ways to grow in their "Spirit" and show agape love.
Methodist Men On the third Saturday morning 8:00am, men of all ages from the church share a wonderful breakfast prepared by our resident chef David Westray. The men also enjoy outings to Ft. Worth Cats baseball games, leading fundraisers for community relief and hands on mission in the community. An outdoor "Cowboy Breakfast" is held each fall at a local ranch. This annual fundraiser is open to all and is a great time for fun and fellowship.
